The quote...

“The pessimist complains about the wind; the optimist expects it to change; the realist adjusts the sails.”

The Feelings and your needs...

Every one of us is different and has a different answer to this question: “Who are you?” Eventually, if you try to answer this question, each answer has a story behind it. While at sea, we might have a lot in common like race, religion, knowledge, skills and so on, there is still one thing that makes us each unique: Personality.

Let it share!

Please, find your own ocean break, compassion, a moment in which you can talk in a 100% confidential context about your problems on board, your feelings, the stress and psychological symptoms you might feel to people who can give you a professional opinion about what is going on and what exactly you can do from this point, so that you can change in your benefit the way you are feeling right now and the situation on board.

BEFORE WE Meet in

Oceanbreak

How is it possible to feel satisfied and good about yourself and life in general when you are away from your family and loved ones, surrounded by strangers and trying to keep up and do your best in a profession that is so demanding and sometimes even risky?

Well, the first step in achieving that purpose is to get to know and recognize the risks to wellbeing that they may face and to find possible and appliable solutions for minimizing those risks.

Oceanbreak project is all about wellbeing. Psychological, professional and physical. Because we must admit it, while at sea, you are a whole. If your career isn’t going well and you have difficulties you can’t seem to overpass, your mind and by default, your body too, won’t feel at their greatest. On the other hand, if you feel your psychological state being troubled by various symptoms, thoughts or emotions, you won’t perform your best at work, and that may have an influence on your career.

This is why, here at Oceanbreak, we will handle both areas: the professional one, with practical advice and information about your exact situation, and the psychological one with professional evaluation.

Our needs as human beings are complex and various in order to reach that well being state we mentioned about. You may not feel exactly what is missing, there might be situations which are too complicated for you at this point of your life or your career. But essentially wellbeing at sea means that you feel good about you, your life and your future, in control of your performance in various situations, with an internal feeling of purpose and sense and being fully aware of your potential and what you can use it for.

Don’t get me wrong! This doesn’t translate as a state of perpetual happiness, because that is certainly utopic. It means you feel up to face any task, difficulty or challenge feeling confident in your resources. Sometimes for that you need information, sometimes support or even guidance.

That’s why here at Ocean break we offer it all. Razvan offers the information and the practical guidance and Alina offers the psychological support. You might need just one meeting with us to get an objective perspective on things. Or you might need to form a team with us for a period of time. Either way, we look forward to meeting you and to helping you to get a resolution!
