Ocean Break project is the combination between the professional psychological counseling provided by an experienced Psychologist and the support offered by a Master Mariner who knows very well what you have to put up at sea and can come up with practical guidance appropriate for exactly the context you are in at the moment.
What makes this job unique and more difficult that others are the work conditions which transforms any challenge into a psychological hazard: the lack of social contact with the people you know and love, fewer opportunities for relief and stress management, possible dangers while on board, the stress coming from major consequences of any mistake you might make, homesickness and a constantly new work environment and colleagues.
Your strengths and your weaknesses, these are the aspects that define you! We always try to share/ express our complex personality in the way of how strong we are, showing a pre-judged behavior, a perfect correlation between a life satisfaction and job’s skills.
And yet, what’s next?
Do you remember the OLD IQ test with 9 dots? And you had to draw five lines with a pencil within these nine dots without lifting the pencil. The only way to do it was to go OUTSIDE the box.
When job satisfaction is slowly dissipating, when family problems begin to overwhelm us, when we stop creating goals and dreams, when trying to do a lot more and a lot more is not done, when you move in place without progress, WE FAIL!
Why?
Simply because 90% of us just aspire to making a living instead of aspiring to make a difference.
While on board or on shore, not too often, we hesitate to share what we really feel, thus we have created an open communication channel for all colleagues, OceanBreak!
Oceanbreak project is all about wellbeing. Because we must admit it, while at sea, you are a whole. If your career isn’t going well and you have difficulties you can’t seem to overpass, you mind and by default, your body too, won’t feel at their greatest.
Our team offers the information, psychological support and practical guidance.
How is it possible to feel satisfied and good about yourself and life in general when you are away from your family and loved ones, surrounded by strangers and trying to keep up and do your best in a profession that is so demanding and sometimes even risky?
Well, the first step in achieving that purpose is to get to know and recognize the risks to wellbeing that they may face and to find possible and appliable solutions for minimizing those risks.
When you have glory, life in colors it is...
Today I want to share my experience with Ocean-Break.com service. As you probably know, sometimes it is challenging being on board the vessel in a new rank for the first time. To reach a good result on some points can be difficult without professional assistance from experienced people. From that point of view I found Ocean-break as a good solution to feel more confident and stress free during my service at sea.

Ocean Break is fit for those people like me, like you, and like anybody who looks for someone to trust, to feel not alone and to feel not left behind. Our journey is full of danger, trials, pain and tragedies. But the good news is that we're not traveling alone and defenseless. We are not alone specially during the times we need a comforting words. Ocean Break is fit for these. Talking to correct persons the key for a healthy mind and heart. It's like a natural medicine that doesn't need any narcotics to heal. I would recommend Ocean Break to break your silence and talk seriously what you're into. Saving ourselves and our career for our family is our top most priority. More Power to Ocean Break!!❤️ Some people I worked with have different opinions, moods, likes and dislikes. As a Nautical Officer and Medical Officer, I learned to observe everyone's characters and personality. But my knowledge is only limited so I cannot guess their real condition. Some of them are extrovert and some are introvert. Every individual have different personality that only a Psychologist and those having knowledge on how to handle, how to deal and how to manage knows best. I personally experience the same while onboard the ship. I started to find out the way on how to deal my situation. I found myself loving Arts. In order to keep me positive in every situation even if I am down and worried, I choose to keep my mind busy on painting during my free time and it help me a lot to overcome those hard times. The time that I don't have somebody to talk to, I put my trust in God and be with the people with same interest as I am.
